Version v1.0 · Effective June 30, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Destin Shades collects when you use this site, submit a request, or call the number listed here, and what we do with it. Destin Shades is a referral service. We connect you with a local contractor; we do not perform the work.
2. Information We Collect
When you submit a request or call us, we collect:
We collect this information directly from you when you submit a form or place a call to this site.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government-ID numbers, precise geolocation, health information, or other categories defined as "sensitive personal information" under applicable law.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information you give us has one purpose: connecting you with a local contractor who can respond to your request and keeping a record that you asked. We also use technical details to protect the site against spam and fraud and to meet recordkeeping and legal obligations.
We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to connecting you with a contractor and operating this service. We do not use it for advertising.
4. How We Share Your Information
A referral you direct. When you submit a request or place a call, you are directing us to share the information you provide with one independent local contractor serving your area so that contractor can respond to you. This disclosure is made at your request, to carry out the referral you asked for.
Service providers. We use trusted vendors to operate the site and deliver your request — hosting and form processing, email delivery, spam protection, and inbound-call handling. They process information only to perform services for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not sell your information to data brokers, and this site runs no advertising pixels, no third-party analytics, and no cross-context behavioral advertising. The only party outside our service providers who receives your information is the one independent local contractor you direct us to refer you to. Because we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control has no sale or share to act upon.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing (California Civil Code §1798.83).
5. Your Choices
When you submit a form or place a call, you are directing us to refer you to one independent local contractor. Because that referral is carried out at your own request, it is not a "sale" or a "share" of your information under California law.
Even so, as a courtesy, you may ask us not to refer you and to stop forwarding any future requests, and you may ask us to delete the information we hold. To make either choice, use the link titled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer of this site, or email us at contact@destinshades.com. Because a referral you request is carried out at the moment you submit, a courtesy opt-out applies to future requests; it cannot recall a referral already made at your direction.
6. Your Privacy Rights
We extend the following rights to every visitor, regardless of the state you live in:
To exercise any right, email contact@destinshades.com or use the footer link. We may need to verify your identity by matching the information you submit against the request on file before we act. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to reasonable verification.
We will acknowledge a rights request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend by an additional 45 days and will notify you of the extension and the reasons for it.
Because we do not collect sensitive personal information, the right to limit its use does not apply. We offer no financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
7. State-Specific Privacy Rights
California residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights described in Section 6, including the right to know the categories of personal information we collect (listed in Section 2), the purposes for which we use it (Section 3), and the categories of parties with whom we share it (Section 4 — service providers and the one local contractor to whom your request is referred). California residents may also opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information using the methods in Section 5. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and we respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes the law requires.
Residents of other states. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights, including the rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out described above. We extend the rights in Section 6 to all visitors regardless of residency. To exercise them, use the methods in Section 6.
8. Calls, AI Voice Handling, and Recording
Inbound calls to this site may be answered or screened by an automated voice assistant or AI system, and all calls may be recorded. This is described in our Terms of Service. By continuing a call, you consent to these practices. Call recordings are treated as personal information under this policy and are kept and shared only as described here.
9. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep each category of information only as long as needed:
If you request deletion, we remove the personal information identifying you but retain a limited record — the date and time, IP address, the versions of our Terms and Privacy Policy in force, and a reference to the consent shown — in reliance on the CCPA exceptions that permit retaining information to comply with a legal obligation and to exercise or defend legal claims. This four-year record aligns with the limitations period for claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
10. How We Protect Your Information
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information is protected from all possible threats.
11. Children's Privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at contact@destinshades.com and we will delete it.
12. Links to Other Sites
This site may include links to other websites — including a referred contractor's own site — that we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies before sharing information with them.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version and date shown govern your use of this site. This policy is version v1.0, effective June 30, 2026.
